PC Builder
Build a desktop part by part. Every choice narrows the next one to what actually fits — socket, DDR generation, card length, cooler height and power draw are all checked as you go.

What the PC Builder checks
Processor and motherboard
The socket has to match exactly — an AM5 chip does not go into an LGA1700 board, and no adapter exists. Choosing either one filters the other.
Memory
DDR4 and DDR5 are keyed differently and are not interchangeable, and a kit cannot use more slots than the board has.
Physical fit
The board's form factor against what the case takes, the graphics card's length against the case's clearance, and the cooler's height against the side panel.
Power
Estimated from processor TDP and card draw plus an allowance for the board, drives and fans, with 30% headroom — a supply run at its ceiling is loud and short-lived.
Where a manufacturer has not published a figure we say so rather than guess. Those appear as notes, not errors.
